Brynn Carrell is the Owner and Executive Director of The Cypress School. She brings more than 16 years of leadership experience in early childhood education and a deep commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for young children and their families.

 

Brynn earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia College Chicago and has dedicated her career to fostering high-quality educational environments where children, educators, and families can thrive. Her passion for the Reggio Emilia approach has led her to pursue extensive professional development, including specialized training and participation in a study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy. While there she explored the philosophy firsthand and gained valuable insight into its child-centered, inquiry-driven practices.

 

Throughout her career, Brynn has been a trusted leader within the Naperville and Warrenville communities, known for building strong relationships, mentoring educators, and cultivating school cultures rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and respect. She believes that every child is capable, competent, and full of potential, and she is committed to ensuring that each family receives exceptional care, support, and educational opportunities.
